Understanding indicators

In Blox, the foundation of your financial model lies within each Block, where the logical structure is defined using Indicators. Each indicator represents a set of numerical values measured by a business, including inputs, calculations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or outputs that drive the insights and forecasts within the model.
Examples of some indicators include Revenue, Gross Profit and Employee costs.
Every indicator will have a set of numerical values for each time period in the model. The way in which the values are evaluated depends on what type the indicator is:
- Inputs - values will be input into Blox by the user
- Calculations - values will be calculated using a formula, pulling in data from other aspects of the model
